DHS Honors Diploma A 26-credit diploma earned through a planned program of study that exceeds graduation and Oregon diploma standards. Students receive special recognition at Senior Awards and Graduation. Portfolio due March 1 of senior year.
Advanced Coursework/AP Classes DHS offers Advanced Placement (AP) courses. College credit can be earned through AP exams in the spring. Teacher approval required. Fee required to take AP exam. Good AP scores can translate into college money saved!
College Credit Now Dual credit (high school and college credit at the same time) can be earned through several classes at DHS. There is a small fee to enroll in the college credit part of the high school class. This is through Chemeketa Community College. Connect with your counselor for further details on these courses.
Early Graduation Students may apply to graduate 1 semester or 1 year early. Parent permission, letters of support, and a plan must accompany the application. Please see your counselor for the application.
Willamette Promise Dual credit (high school and college credit at the same time) is available to all students through many high school courses through a proficiency-based exam program. Small fee required.
